I Didn't Know Gunmen Gave Signs...Did You?

So, much to anyone's surprise, (anyone born within the past 15 years) the army psychiatrist gunman apparently 'gave signs' about his intentions in regard to the shootings he committed.

Apparently after losing his parents, he turned to Islam. There's your first problem. He gave up his good judgment to a falsified idea, and abandoned a discerning mind to an accepting one. But I digress.

Anyone who has read of the many infamous shooting in the past 15 years knows that there are ALWAYS signals. Columbine, Virgina Tech, the Amish shootings, Dawson College...why is the fact the gunmen gave signals even relevant? How about why they were MISSED? And not that they existed?

Yes, Stelmach, You're Right - Being Unemployed Is No Big Deal

Recently, Ed Stelmach, the Premier of Alberta, told Maritime Natural Gas Unionists, to 'chill' - and that their protests over Albertans working on the Canaport NG project, were basically, them overreacting.

I'm sorry Mr. Stelmach - last I checked, you HAD A JOB. The maritimes are perennially under-employed and lower in the economic ladder than just about anywhere else. Alberta, on the other hand, is perennially on the TOP. So WHY is it that these unemployed unionists are unjustified in being upset over you flying over your workers when there are people living IN the goddamn province that need a job?

Yes, there are unemployed people in Alberta, and yes, people often have to travel to find work. But when you are selling your workers to companies in other provinces, ESPECIALLY when you're the richest province in Canada, and they're the poorest, why the HELL should these people be calm and collected about it?

How about Stelmach loses his cushy job as premier of the most-loathed province in Canada, and they fly a New Brunswick politician in to do his job? I'm sure he'd just 'chill', as he put it.

What a douchebag. No wonder no one likes Alberta.

So, this isn't going to be as in-depth as other posts, but this whole schtick about this VMA fiasco has gone FAR too far. (Yes, I used that word twice on purpose)

The simple fact that this pops up all over Google, all over my MSN toolbar at the bottom, all over people's Facebook statuses and MSN names...give it a break, would you? DON'T click on those links, DON'T discuss it with your friends, just pretend it doesn't exist! (This article notwithstanding, OBVIOUSLY) The only reason that that tripe gets so much hype is because all the little celebrity-worshipping sheep go on their fucking Twitter and Facebook and go:

So, after an entire debacle over the Feds not sending remote Aborigninal communities hand sanitizer, apparently based on worries about something containing alcohol into 'dry' areas, the government sent these northern communities kits to prepare for a possible second wave of H1N1. In these kits were...(get ready for it...)

OH MY GOD.

Needless to say, the leaders of these communities threw tantrums about it being 'completely unacceptable' and 'horrific' and yada yada yada. Canada's Health Minister, Leona Aglukkaq, apparently is 'looking into' the matter, as she wasn't aware of body bags being sent until the press conference. Without diving into it too much, um, excuse me? She doesn't know what her department is doing? Isn't that her freaking job? Isn't that what the tax dollars that pay her salary are for?

But to the issue at hand, the outbursts from the opposition parties and the Aboriginal leaders. Come on, people. GROW THE FUCK UP. People die in flu season, and people especially die from big freaky viruses like H1N1 and H5N1. Does that fact scare you? Then kill yourself now, because people die, and people espcially die from sicknesses like these.

God knows all these whiny little girls would have turned around, had the government NOT sent these body bags, and when the first of them snuffed it, started complaining that the government hadn't given them the means to deal with the cadavers.

People will find something wrong with everything.
